We are currently recruiting for more bread bakers to join our well-established workers co-op. We are looking for someone who is ready and available to start as soon as possible.
The main tasks of the role will be to plan and bake bread, and other bakery products, for wholesale and subscription orders, as well as for sale from our regular farmers market and event stalls. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with the development of new and existing products.
Experience of baking or working in a commercial kitchen is preferred, but not essential. Full time availability is strongly preferred, but please specify your availability within the application form.
We are looking for individuals with a drive to become a part of our workers co-op, with a keen interest in pursuing Membership. You will join as a probationary member of Leeds Bread Co-op, working towards membership of the Co-op and participating in the work carried out by other teams within LBC.
Baking shifts run from Monday – Sunday and roughly between the hours of 10.00am – 11.00pm.
Leeds Bread Co-op has a flat wage structure where everyone is paid the same hourly rate, plus a generous holiday entitlement and other staff benefits. Full time salary for the Baker role is £18,137.60 (based on 40 hours/week contract).
