We are hiring for a Cover Deliveries Driver to join our team! This is a casual/non-contracted role – our Cover Delivery Drivers support us to cover shortfalls in staffing, such as holidays or sickness absence. Due to the nature of cover required, we are looking for someone with good flexibility who is able to work at short notice.
Our delivery rounds run from approximately 3.30am – 12.00pm on Tuesdays Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Our Delivery Drivers are responsible for accurately packing and delivering our wholesale customer orders and home delivery customer orders, as well as ensuring all deliveries arrive in a timely manner according to each customer’s requirements.
We are looking for someone able and willing to work early mornings, with excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
Our Delivery Drivers mostly work alone on shift, so we are looking for someone who can work effectively by themselves, but also within a small team and to ensure regular communication with our Operations & Sales Team while on shift as required.
We are looking for someone comfortable working independently, with high attention to detail to ensure excellent accuracy when packing orders, excellent driving skills and strong time management skills. Our Delivery Drivers are a representative of the business when out and about on the delivery round, so a friendly attitude and good customer service are essential.
Deliveries experience is preferred however full training will be provided. Experience driving mid-sized van is essential for the role.
For insurance purposes, our Delivery Drivers must be over the age of 25 years and hold a full, clean driving licence held for at least 2 years.
At Leeds Bread Co-op we have a flat wage structure where all employees are paid £12.00/hour, including casual/non-contracted staff members. We are looking for someone who can start working with us as soon as possible/by the middle of October.
